Full disclosure: this review has nothing to do with the quality of work this guy does, but EVERYTHING to do with the quality of human he is! He saw me on the side of the road with a broken down trailer, turned around and came to see how he could help. He offered to take my trailer back to his shop to get it fixed up, and when he saw that wasn't going to work, he stayed with my trailer while I went to get a flatbed to load it up and drag it back to Texas from Bella Vista. He even did all the heavy lifting to get the broken trailer rolled up onto the flatbed and strapped down. This kind of generosity is hard to come by anymore, and I cannot speak more highly of Brian! Thank you again Brian! You were truly a life saver!

Brian and his crew were great! We bought a house with a deck that was in need of some structural updating of the support beams, new railings and a lower deck torn out and rebuilt. They also helped us with our vision of having secure storage under our lower deck. They were professional, curious and had excellent communication through out the process. Most projects have some issues that come up along the way and ours did but they were all very minor and the communication great about the issue and the options to solve. We had a great experience working with Brian and his crew from Ozark Deck, from start to finish. This is a long review, but it was a big project, so it’s worth going into some detail. For background, we were looking to replace our old wood 2nd story deck, and to remove an existing chimney in the process to expand the new deck area. During bidding on the job, Brian had a fast response time to our questions. Our job was somewhat complicated in that we wanted our existing chimney removed so that we could expand our deck. Other contractors weren’t interested in working with us to coordinate the chimney demolition with the old deck removal and replacement. They wanted to do the deck but nothing else. Brian said yes when the others said no. Brian also worked with us to get the overall estimate down to something our budget could support. He made a great suggestion for a covered deck roof material that we didn’t even know existed. He also recommended using a rough sawn pine for the covered area beams. I wasn’t sure initially, but he was right… It looks fantastic. We are so glad he made those recommendations and worked with us to dial in the quote. His suggestions were excellent and much appreciated. Starting the construction - Brian actually was able to start the project sooner that he initially estimated. It’s so much better being able to start early than start behind schedule. The whole project took about a month, which I think is very reasonable considering they had to tear out the existing deck, do the chimney demo, fix the roof and siding and brickwork where the chimney was, and then to build the new deck. Brian worked with the other contractors to make sure the work flow stayed on schedule. One of my neighbors is getting his deck worked on by a different contractor, and they’ve been working on it for months and they are still not done. Brian was able to start sooner than expected, and finished the job in a very reasonable amount of time, especially considering the additional work of the chimney demo. Crew - Shout out to Chad and the rest of the work crew. They were respectful, cleaned up after themselves, and worked hard. The whole crew were good to work with, they always had time to answer our questions and let us know how the job was progressing. Materials and construction - Brian used quality materials. The concrete footers he poured were impressive…they were at least 2 feet deep. The deck joists are on 12 inch centers, so this deck is SOLID, with no bounce at all. I think I could park a truck on it and it wouldn’t sag. We went with composite decking rather than wood, and it looks fantastic. The rough sawn pine in the pagoda I mentioned earlier looks amazing in our covered area… so much better than just standard treated wood. I have no doubt that this deck will outlast me, and probably look better doing it. Brian was not the lowest quote we received. If you are looking for the least expensive bid, he probably won’t be it. However, the quality of construction and materials are top notch, he stays on schedule, his crew is great, and he is willing to work with you on new ideas and special requests when others aren’t interested. While he was not the least expensive, we think the total value we received was well worth the cost. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Ozark Deck for another project. Our experience with Ozark Deck was great, and we are so glad we chose them to build our new deck. Thanks Brian, Chad, and the rest of the crew at Ozark Deck!

Brian and his crew screened in our covered porch using cedar. It was challenging due to the existing posts that were stone on the bottom and then a tapered wood post to the ceiling. He fitted cedar posts alongside the existing posts and used creative trim work to fill in the gaps by the stones. It came out great and we are enjoying being outside now without the flies and mosquitoes!

The finished deck met our expectations 100%. It was well worth the 5 month wait for Brian and his team. Our deck is beautiful, and with a 50 year warranty, it's the last deck we'll ever build. Chad and Austin run the crew on site daily and are very quick to communicate with the homeowner where challenges crop up. Kevin was a master with our challenging stair layout.
